Florence is famous for its churches richly decorated with 15th and 16th century frescoes. Visiting the family chapels in Santa Maria Novella and Santa Trinita churches, we can admire Ghirlandaio’s and Filippino Lippi’s decorations full of details taken from the everyday life of the city people portrayed as actors with beautiful costumes and scenes with amazing architectures as we find in the chapel painted for the banker Felice Brancacci in the Church of the Carmine. This is a 15th century masterpiece , decorated by Masaccio and Masolino with stories of Saint Peter’s life. These are some ideas: we could also organize a tour in the San Marco Museum decorated by Fra’ Angelico in every room, and the close Church of the Annunziata with the 16th century frescoes by Andrea del Sarto. Among the others, we remember also the Last Supper frescoes by Andrea del Castagno and Ghirlandaio and the monochrome frescoes by Andrea del Sarto in the Cloister dello Scalzo.
