The interested guest can enjoy a guided visit to the Ducal Palace considering the eight hundred years of history in the main apartments, rooms and private rooms that are connected by many corridors and passages. The Gonzaga' Court was highly considered by all the European Courts, calling artists like Pisanello, Andrea Mantegna, Giulio Romano, Rubens, and also musicians, poets and humanists.

You will recall the magic atmosphere of this Court where the Gonzaga Lords welcomed Popes and Emperors. To visit the Ducal Palace, you could book the visit through our guide service, conforming to the actual rules. By this required group reservation you will be visiting the famous Bridal Chamber of Andrea Mantegna, because only few visitors a day can have access to it.

The visit starts at the room of Pisanello, passing through the Room of the Mirrors towards the great painting representing the Family Gonzaga by Rubens. In the Castle of St. George are the rooms of Ludovico and Isabella d'Este, the apartment of Troja. During the visit, it is possible to have a coffee break in the Cafeteria, withy a lovely view of the lake. The visit to the Museum concludes with the Roof Garden and the rooms of the Tapestries, made in Flanders, from a sketch by Rafael.

At the end of the visit it is possible to stroll in the town centre. In the afternoon the visit will include the historical centre with the ancient Town Hall, the Rotunda of S. Lorenzo, the Renaissance Cathedral of St. Peter and the Basilica of St. Andrea, the eighteenth-century Scientific Theatre.
