We begin visiting St. Dominic Church, built in 13th century, where there are works painted by Francesco di Giorgio Martini, guido da Siena and frescoes painted by Sodoma. Nearby there is St. Catherine's birthplace, transformed into a sanctuary. We walk along Banchi di Sopra, the main street, flanked with impressive façades of palaces and the Loggia of Merchants, a medieval courthouse of rich merchants and bankers.

On the top of the hill it's possible to see the gorgeous façade of Cathedral (the statues were sculptured by Giovanni Pisano) and the ambitious plan of the new unfinished Cathedral.

Before going to Piazza del Campo, we can visit the romantic courtyard of Chigi Saracini Palace which is today the seat of a prestigious musical Academy. Piazza del Campo is the heart of the city and it looks like a natural shell.

All around there are beautiful palaces and monuments, such as Fonte Gaia, the Town Hall and its Tower, known as Torre del Mangia. On the top there is a fantastic view.
