1. Cathedral  floor : the unveiled floor of cathedral: the marble floor was inlaid and carved by many artists between XIVth and XVIth century. Visitors can see a lot of episodes taken from mythology and from Old and New Testament and also some exoterical characters. Only in September and in October it's possible to see the whole floor.
Ticket costs 5 euros per person.


2. Gastronomic tours: during the tour of Siena and its province, it's possible to have a break in order to taste some typical products such as wine, olive oil and sweets (panforte, ricciarelli and cantucci) at qualified wine and pastry shops and restaurants with special menu with old medieval recipes or special dinners in order to promote and taste any typical products with a musical or litterary entertainment.

3. SPECIAL TOURS FOR STUDENTS (2 hours)

Visit of the old town with historical references about Middle Age (architecture, origin of the city-state, the middle class and merchants, the importance of water and the fountains, the construction of the cathedral).
A. The cathedral, built in 13th century with works by Nicholas and Jhon Pisano, Donatello, Michelangelo, Pinturicchio and bernini and the extraordinary floor inlaid and carved.

B. The Town Hall, with frescoed about Good and Bad Government by Ambrose Lorenzetti (14 th century) which "take a picture" of Siena in Middle Age and the freco about Guidoriccio da Fogliano, the symbol of the medieval noble knight, painted by Simone Martini.

C. The Hospital "Santa Maria della Scala", may be the oldest European hospital

built in XIth century, a social an political institution for pilgrims and for the town itself. Transformed into a museum in 1992, we can visit a special room, named "Pellegrinaio", frescoed in XVth century with historical episodes about the hospital.

Underneath it's possible to visit the Etruscan Museum and many interesting and "hidden" parts.
